Dedication Ceremony

Each of the day rooms opened in to a screened in porch. The fire escapes were added later on
In the basement of this wing was the Hydrotherapy room with a dressing room and rest area
Various water temperatures and pressures were used to treat ailments and increase blood circulation
A friend of mine had a back operation and part of the therapy was sitting in a warm tub and lifting his legs

At the end of the wings were the dormitories which were broken down in to three smaller dorm rooms

There was an entrance from this parking lot to the basement clothing rooms and storage areas
On the second floor were bathrooms and a treatment room to the left and single rooms in the middle
On the right side were rooms for storage and patient clothing

To the right of this doorway was the clothing room and on the left were the shoes and boots storage

Building 137 Kitchen Dinning Rooms
The building was constructed in 1912 to serve buildings 143 and 147 of Group III
Building 136 was built and attached to the front of this kitchen and later 143 and 147 were torn down

Outside entrance to walkway leading to the medical building and the kitchen

Walkway from the dinning rooms leading to building 136

In the front section were four small dinning rooms with kitchens behind them

This was the outside doorway to the smaller dinning rooms and the kitchen

One of the four smaller dinning rooms

Through the doorway can be seen the other small dinning rooms

There was a small lobby with a room to the left and then the entrance to the dinning room

The door at the other and was to the food service area and dish washing

The kitchen with vented roof and the entrance for one of the dinning rooms
At the end of the kitchen was the dry storage, meat freezer, and the pot washing room

Entrance to hallway leading to dinning rooms with storage room on the left and the dinning rooms on the right

It looks like this had been an electronic lift for hoisting patients on gurneys in and out of the building.

Located in the basement of this wing was recreation room and a small work shop
